Example of automimicry (= intraspecific mimicry): a false head at the wing rear, equipped with distinct spots and appendages. Moreover, this part is held upwards. In consequence, the false head is attacked by the predator; in addition, it expects that the butterfly will escape up, whereas it will fly down. In this collection compare with South American Colobura dirce (Nymphalidae).
