An endemic species of the southern Amazon, found in a small area bounded by two rivers. It is estimated that within 24 years (three generations), the species will lose 50-86% of its natural habitat due to the progressive easing of regulations, land depletion, or elimination of legal protection in protected areas of the Amazon.
